Architect
FHA Architects is looking for an experienced architect to design and produce contract documents and specifications for different types of projects.
Candidate must have experience coordinating the project team, meeting deadlines, reviewing architectural documents, and providing construction contract administration.
Some traveling will be required
Required knowledge/skills:
- BS/BA/MA Degree in architecture
- Ability to manage and direct projects
- 7 -10 years of experience in commercial design (preferable)
- AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and general business software experience
- Strong knowledge of codes and good planning/scheduling skills
- Client management experience
- Self-starter and self-motivated

Intern Architect
FHA Architects is looking for an Intern Architect with interest in commercial design. Candidate will communicate directly with clients; evaluate their needs and proposed solutions under the supervision of the licensed architectural staff. Develop drawings to comply with building codes and coordinate all disciplines to produce contract documents. Write specifications and reports, review shop drawings and prepare architectural documents.
Some traveling may be required.
Required knowledge/skills:
- BS/BA/MA Degree in architecture
- 3 - 5 years of experience (career path to become licensed)
- AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office experience
- Food service design experience is a plus
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Good written and oral communication skills

Administrative Assistant
The successful candidate will exhibit proven skills, knowledge, and experience with oral and written communication; proven document organization and record keeping; and computer skills that include data entry and information retrieval.
This position will answer directly to the owner of the firm and will assist and be directly responsible for many of the daily operations requirements for the company. This will include interaction with the firm’s staff, vendors, consultants, and clients on various matters related to the success of the company. A positive attitude and disposition is an asset for the candidate and valuable resource for the firm.
Required knowledge/skills:
- 2 year associates degree or college degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience in computer skills
- Accounting background with accounts payable, receivable and payroll
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Project Administrator
The position is responsible for research into the viability of commercial lease space for occupancy by retail/restaurant/service tenants. The candidate for this position must have an understanding of building codes, zoning ordinances, lease terms, and property covenants. Ability to communicate effectively by telephone and email is a must, with clear and concise writing skills.

Contract Administrator
The successful candidate will exhibit many of the same skills for the Administrative Assistant. There will be crossover responsibility between the two positions. This candidate shall have proven skills, knowledge, and experience with oral and written communication; document organization and record keeping; and computer skills that include editing and writing contracts and documents; research; and information retrieval.
This position will answer directly to the owner of the firm and will assist and be directly responsible for coordination, writing and editing contracts, purchase orders, and solicitations with our clients, vendors, and consultants. A positive attitude and disposition is an asset for the candidate and valuable resource for the firm.
Required knowledge/skills:
- 2 year associates degree or college degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position, paraprofessional or paralegal would be helpful
- Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience in computer skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
